Last week I had the honor to fly south out of the cold and spend the weekend with an incredible couple and their family and friends in Sunny St. Petersburg Florida! The weather could not have been any more perfect for this wedding. Their intamite ceremony and reception took place at the Post Card Inn. An adorable boutique hotel located on the beautiful beach of St. Pete. Their day conisted of sunshine, laughter and lots of love while surround by their closest family and friends. Here is a little sneak peek of some of my favorites from their day!! And stay tuned for their amazing Sunrise day after session!!

This was the cutest boutique hotel ever!! One of my favorite things about it was the colors and the way it made you feel like you were at home. The ceremony and the Reception were here!

I wish I knew where to begin with this story. So I guess I’ll begin at the beginning.  I met Lauren and her family almost 2 years ago. She was a bridesmaid in a wedding I did. Towards the end of the evening I met her family and her then boyfriend Brandon, where we chatted and exchanged numbers for future photo possibilities. Later that week I get a text from Lauren that she was actually a reading teacher at my children’s school (small town Buffalo) and my kids adore “Miss Lauren” From there we developed a friendship. With her families love for the Philadelphia Eagles it was a match made in heaven. One afternoon Lauren and her mom came over to talk about an engagement shoot and the plan for the wedding. You see, with Disney weddings you have to book you wedding date 18 months in advance. It was then that they asked me if I would be the photographer and I was SOOO honored and excited I screamed. So what felt like a long time away really wasn’t. Lauren spoke about her and Brandons love for Disney and the Movie “Up” and how special it was in their relationship and all the details they were going to have on their day.

Fast forward 18 months later and I am standing in the lobby of the Grand Floridian looking at the exquisite details that Disney so perfectly does. Butterflies filled my stomach but I could not WAIT to start the day, by the way is was 6:00am haha we had an early start for an early ceremony. The morning started with Laurens details and then over to the boys, then back to the girls for the final details! Lauren looked right out of a fairy tale. adorned in family pearls and a gorgeous dress by Stella York from Victorias Bridal her and her bridal party made their way to Disneys Wedding Pavilion. Brandon was there waiting for her at the end of the isle with a look on his face I will never forget. After the ceremony we roamed the grounds of the Grand Floridian and made our way over the the reception room where we were suprised with a performance by the Dapper Dans!! They were amazing I almost peed myself haha.

To say these two are soul mates is an understatement. L.O.V.E thats what their whole day was about. Their marriage was the center of the entire day spent along with their closest family and friends in a place that makes them happy. THAT is how weddings are suppose to be.

To Lauren and Brandon, thank you from the bottom of my heart for including me on your journey and trusting me to capture the most important day in your lives. I cannot wait to watch what the future holds for you both. You are amazing to my kids and they love you both to pieces.

Lastly I want to give a big should out to Disney Fairy Tale Weddings for making the day and the schedule beautiful and run so smoothly. They also did all the gorgeous florals. Also to Beauté Spécialé for the gorgeous hair and makeup for the girls!

This past week has been long, very long. My grandmother passed very unexpectedly and we laid her to rest on Thursday. She was such a huge part to our family, my family, and our lives. It was as if a greater plan was in place that I just so happened to have a wedding a few days after with the most amazing family. Walking into Gretchen’s house I felt such a calm. Greeted by her mom at the door with a loving hug and condolences, I knew this day was what I needed.

Adorned in a Vera Wang dress and Vail, Gretchen was nothing short of breathtaking. In the softest grey her bridesmaids wore the most gorgeous dresses from BHLDN.  And we cant leave out the men, their custom suits were just amazing not to mention the socks!!!  From the flowers, dessert table and the firework finale, the details and love that surrounded this day was impeccable. To the Bauer Family and Giraldo Family… Thank you so much for making me feel like family. Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs Giraldo!

I knew the second I walked int Elizabeth’s hotel room and saw her bridesmaids dresses, I would be doing this blog post. I am a complete sucker for mismatched dresses and soft neutrals, add a little lace and YEAH im Swooning.  Yesterday I spent a perfect May day with two of the most easy going, kind hearted people. I watched as a Buffalo girl and a Boston boy (yes yes, I know, definitely a conflict of interest when it comes to sports teams) came together as one, ready to start a life together. Being part of this wedding day was such an honor for me. As you scroll through this beautiful wedding day, I hope you enjoy this gorgeous couple as much as I did! Here is a preview of their day!!
